The Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix is one of Geneva most stunning hotels with loved by everyone Fiskebar onsite. This popular bar specializes in Nordic-Fusion cuisine and is a fabulous place to visit all year round for delicious food and cocktails. In Summer, we usually choose al fresco dining or staying as close to the lake as possible, this is why Båd by Fiskebar concept came to life. It offers outdoor experience, but not just a simple one, more sophisticated and unique. Surely on the shore of Geneva lake there is no other experience like this!
Concept of Båd by Fiskebar
Word Båd in Danish language means BOAT and this is where the idea of this concept started. It’s a floating restaurant based by the shore, but it can also be taken further to the lake, for example close to the iconic Jet d’eau. It offers very intimate setting, as it only can be reserved in advance, either for private groups, families or couples. This floating restaurant offers very relaxed atmosphere, I almost had a feeling that I am in St. Tropez for a while… seeing all these beautiful boats around, blue water and monumental architecture around the lake. It has a wonderful dining table, a smaller one for aperitif and an open kitchen for the live cooking.
As I mentioned already Båd by Fiskebar offers Scandinavian-inspired cuisine. Chef Francesa Fucci personally creates menu which is made with seasonal, mostly local and fresh products. Like in Fiskebar she is also trying experimental cooking techniques and a very creative, not ordinary dishes. Everything I tasted had a wonderful combination of textures, colors and ingredients.
Extremely creative and direct, chef Francesca Fucci lets each ingredient guide her philosophy. Constantly in search of the fresh products, she pushes the boundaries of traditional Nordic delicacies with artful techniques, to create seasonal dishes of meat, seafood and vegetables with intense flavors

This was truly special experience that I enjoyed from start to the end. Staff was extremely professional and made me feel very welcomed. We started in the aperitif area with homemade Kombucha and champagne from Laurent-Perrier. After we moved to the dining table to try the testing menu. Each dish that chef Francesca prepared was a discovery and a piece of art. Every plate was served differently and had a specific, well planned order. There was also a wine pairing with each course, which made it so much easier to have the most desired testing.
I am certain that every lady who will be invited by her men to a romantic dinner at Båd by Fiskebar will be more in love, it’s just such a perfect setting. Having said that I also recommend it for family dinners, intimate birthday parties or an important business dinner. It is a venue to impress your guests and live La Dolce Vita moments.
Of course this unique and personalized experience is a little bit more pricey, but still affordable for Swiss residents and guests of Ritz-Carlton Hotel. It’s a 5* experience and prices for dinner are as follow:
