Summer 2023 has been a tribute to the 2000s with many colours cuts and shiny fabrics the upcoming season focuses more on a classic style. Designers promise us an eclectic mix of classic elegance and modern twists. This time they searched for the essence of fashion, they chose more classic colors like black and white. There have been also a lot of beige, animal prints are still present. the colours, there are more soft shades like some sorbet-coloured hues and denim. We have seen a lot of modern interpretations of Black Dresses, in short or maxi options. Long lace dresses and see-through designs are not over yet, however this season they are more elevated, elegant, and ideal for the evening sophisticated look. Designers chose chic and elegance over casual. Even when working with materials like denim they make it more tailoring and stylish. I visited Milan and Paris runways and

completed a visual list of the most interesting trends. These styles are easy to wear and timeless. Many of them you can already find your in wardrobe and if you decide to buy some new ones, they will be timeless and versatile.

Fall/Winter 23 Key Trend: Black and White – Classic duo.

This colour combination is not new to us. Catwalks in Milan and Paris were truly dominated by gorgeous styles in these colours. There were a lot of well-cut, tailored black coats in all lengths. Black dresses, skirts and shorts. The most iconic accessory presented in this trend was a black tie that was seen at Dolce & Gabbana and YSL. Another must-have is the white shirt. They receive the attention they deserve. You can choose a chic a classy one, even a long version ( Valentino) or a playful one like seen on Bottega Venetta. This colour combination reflected a desire for understated luxury. It looks elegant, expensive and sophisticated. Play with these 2 colours and see what works best for you.

Double denim. – Fall/Winter Must-have.

From celebrities to influencers, the classic “Canadian tuxedo” is now one of the most desired looks. It’s a statement that will catch everyone’s attention. In 2023 double denim is elevated and creates sophisticated styles. To wear it properly you can choose well-tailored items like those seen on Balmain in a darker shade. For a classy look choose similar shades and it will look flawless. You can also wear eclectic colours mixed and matched together like, bleached, raw, and upcycled. Whatever you choose it will be a statement. This trend was visible on Versace, Philipp Plein and Y/Project.

Beige in all of its shades – The Most Elegant trend in 2023

This is a winter fashion statement. The ultimate elegance and also one of the most sophisticated combinations. Nothing speaks more about looking expensive like a complete beige look. For this style, designers were using different shades and layering different pieces. You can still add some animal prints for a more eccentric look. However if you want to look like you own a million dollars choose well-tailored garments in similar shades like seen on  Michael Kors, Hermès, Armani and Saint Laurent.
