Today, I would like to take on a journey through time and taste, exploring the allure of this legendary hotel and its crown jewel – the exquisite Orsini Restaurant.

The saga of the Mandarin Oriental, Savoy Zurich dates back to the early 20th century, a time of opulence and sophistication. Originally built in 1838, the hotel quickly became a beacon of luxury, attracting discerning travellers and dignitaries from around the globe. Its prime location, overlooking the picturesque shores of Lake Zurich, only added to its allure, offering guests unparalleled views of the city’s skyline and the majestic mountains beyond.

Over the decades, the Savoy Zurich has played host to a glittering array of luminaries, from Hollywood stars to political leaders, each leaving their indelible mark on its illustrious history. Amidst this tapestry of luxury and sophistication lies the pièce de résistance – the Orsini Restaurant. Named after the illustrious Italian noble family, renowned for their passion for fine cuisine, this gastronomic haven promises an unforgettable dining experience that tantalizes the senses and brings us on a culinary journey through Italy’s rich culinary heritage.

Under the expert guidance of Executive Chef Chef Antonio Guida, Orsini Restaurant showcases the very best of Italian cuisine. Menu inspired by the freshest seasonal ingredients and traditional recipes passed down through generations. From homemade pasta to succulent seafood and decadent desserts, each dish is a masterpiece of flavour and finesse, meticulously crafted to delight even the most discerning palate.

So, whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway, a culinary adventure, or simply a moment of tranquillity amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, the Mandarin Oriental, Savoy Zurich awaits, ready to enchant and delight at every turn. Apart from Orsini Restaurant hotel guests and visitors can also experience other culinary delights. For example French Inspired food at Savoy Brasserie & Bar or snacks and drinks at the Lounge. There also will be a rooftop bar 1838 with panoramic views, but it will be open from May to September.

My suite visit.

We have stayed at an amazing Corner Suite with Balcony King Bed. It is a 60 sqm suite with a historical landmarks view. I could see a bustling Paradeplatz and the iconic Bahnhofstrasse. There was a private balcony, king bed and a sitting area with a large sofa.

Materials such as walnut, bronze and brass have been used alongside custom textiles to create a luxurious, contemporary feel. All suites feature a marble bathroom with walk-in shower and bath.

We had a nice bar area where we could make coffee and use well-equipted mini-bar. We loved it so much, that we ordered breakast and some dinners to the room. All these meals were so delicious.

We have stayed with our 6 years old son and he also felt very welcomed and coforbale.

Why you need to visit Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich.

If you ask me why you should stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel right now I would right away stated these 5 reasons.

1. Top Location. – It’s easy to arrive with all transport or even walk from the train station if you wish as it’s only a 10 min walk.
2. Rooms. – Luxurious finishes, marble bathrooms, comfortable beds. Just stunning.
3. Restaurants.- A sophisticated choice of restaurants and menus. From stunning bar to historical Orsini restaurant.
4. Crowd. – Elegant and sophisticated. It’s nice to walk in the lobby and admire well-dressed people who appreciate beautiful things in life.
5. Outstanding hospitality, service and comfort.- 5 * plus service that makes you come back. The staff is extremely helpful and lovely. The room is always beautifully prepared and it feels like home.

And a bonus: You can wear a gorgoeus kimono all day long.
