La Vie Est Belle the iconic scent by Lancôme is celebrating its 10th anniversary. In order to celebrate Lancôme has prepared many events worldwide where they launched the new campaign with Julia Roberts and celebrated with the brand lovers. I still remember well when back in 2012 I bought my first bottle on the Main Street of Gibraltar and how excited I was back then. This year I was invited to celebrate this round anniversary with other Lancôme Ambassadors from Switzerland. We came from the whole country to the event in Samigo in Zurich, a venue by the lake with Mediterranean vibes and Instagramabe spots.
In the case of La Vie Est Belle fragrance is used to sublimate an outfit and reveal a personality of a woman. Put a smile on a woman and celebrate all women worldwide. It brings optimism, happiness and beauty because Life is Beautiful and we need to remember that. La Vie Est Belle fragrance from Lancôme is also a perfect example of this know-how of Lancome since 2012. Since then, women worldwide fell in love with this scent and all five-star reviews online can prove it.

Julia Roberts is a darling and an icon loved by many. She is also one of my favourite actresses and beauty icon. I love to watch Erin Brockovich or Pretty woman, mostly because of her and her smile. She is the face of La Vie Est Belle Eau de Perfume since the beginning and for the anniversary video, she is ravissant as always. She is wearing a sequin jacket and a long skirt and of course, her smile and La Vie Est Belle Scent. Please have a look at the video below shoot by director Tarsem Singh.
Not intentionally I matched her look, as I was wearing a dark navy sequin dress. To my big astonishment, I received compliments that I could be Julian’s sister and a twin. Biggest compliment ever.
La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme Scent.
La Vie Est Belle was launched in 2012 and created by Olivier Polge (Head of perfume at Chanel), Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo. It is a Floral Fruity Gourmand, delicious and fresh.
The top notes are:
- Black Currant and Pear
Middle notes are:
- Iris, Jasmine and Orange Blossom.
Base notes are:
- Praline, Vanilla, Patchouli and Tonka Bean.
A new olfactory derivative is more gourmet and prestigious.
The Eau de Parfum La vie est belle is the first Tasty Iris exclusively created for Lancôme by three of the most renowned French perfumers. A fragrance with a powerful trail, with a perfect balance between the nobility of Iris Pallida. The depth of Patchouli, and an addictive vanilla accord, creating the perfect scent of happiness.
This formula is the result of three years of probation and 5000 versions. Iris is the key ingredient of the perfume, surrounded by orange blossoms and jasmine in the heart.
The fragrance is a kind of outlook on life. Inspired by joy and pleasure in small things in life. Declaration of beauty in life and a best-selling feminine scent.
Novelties for the 10th anniversary
As I mentioned earlier Lancôme prepared some novelties. I already mentioned that the scent is not more gourmet and sweet. I personally love the new edition. There are big changes with the bottle. The bottle of La vie est belle now integrates recycled glass and is refillable. It’s a great way to reduce its environmental and carbon footprint. They are using 46% less plastic and 50% less glass (well done). The bottle also receives a little bit of redesign from the original bottle. The first falcon was actually created already in 1949 by Georges Delhomme. Was called “le sourire de cristal” – the “crystal smile” and evoked the imprint of a smile. Very french and chic, but in 2022 it needed a new touch. Now the bottle is more glam, with pink instead of grey organza ribbon. There is also gold glitter on the bottle. I love it.
The new flacon also is now refillable and some ingredients are sustainably sourced.
10th-year Anniversary Celebrations with Lancôme
Celebrations in Switzerland were absolutely unforgettable for all the ladies who met at the Samigo venue in Zurich. We were able to discover more about the scents, try our luck on the fortune wheel, and meet other ambassadors. There were corners with personalisation of the organza ribbons on our perfumes, happiness tattoos and instagramable spots for pictures. All of it was set in the relaxed atmosphere and sunset by the Zurich lake and music. We enjoyed, laughed and danced. I am genuinely grateful to Lancome for this lovely invitation.
Summary – It’s a wrap.
As a blogger and beauty editor, I have a lot of perfumes on my shelves, but I am using La vie est belle on a regular basis for 10 years now. It’s a long love story and I am very happy to see that for this 10-year mark they decide to add a more sustainable approach to the line and also change the bottle so it’s more modern.
If you would ask me why I like La vie est belle scent I would say that it has a:
- Perfect balance between floral, sweet and fruity notes.
- It’s perfect for the day and evenings.
- Not too strong or overpowering, just timeless.
I am also happy about the new variation of scents, like Oui, Intensement and Soleil Cristal and I will be testing them now.
