Invisible haircut by Rossano Ferretti is world-famous and I was so privileged to experience it 2 times already.
Rossano Ferretti is not just a hairdresser, he is like the Haute Couture of hairdressers. He is more of an icon working all over the world for more than 40 years. Rossano is also a very lovely man. I had the pleasure to meet and chat about the hair, but also about the fashion world, Italy, travel and children. He is Italian, born in Campegine near Parma into a hairdresser’s family. He had it in his blood, like his grandfather, grandmother and mother. He started his life-long journey as a hairdresser at only 14 years. What made him famous is The method or il Metodo. The specific technique of cutting the hair. His client list is enormous and never-ending. He worked with all supermodels in the 90is like Claudia Shiffer, Naomi Campbel and more. Actress like: Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, Penelope Cruz. Royalties: Kate Middleton and late Princess Diana. As you can see the list is impressive and it’s only part of it.
Before I will tell you more about my experience at La Réserve Genève Hotel & Spa salon I would like to write a bit more about his famous haircut method, Rossano himself and his revolutionary hair products.

Rossano Ferretti’s story is so inspiring. As a young man, he came to London to learn more about hairdressing. After he travelled the world and learn as much as he could, also languages and other cultures. Then he opened his first salon in Parma, where he wanted to create something different. More luxury, the haute-couture journey for his clients. Clients who want more, beautiful and unique experiences and bespoke services. Ever since he has been called a Maestro and when you meet him you will know why.

This is what Rossano Ferretti said about his unique method of haircut. This method was also created by Rossano’s sister Lorenza and has been a success. Rossano says that:
“it is all about the natural fall of hair.”
The invisible haircut method allows the hairdresser to enhance the individual beauty of every client. Adapting to their hair type and even face shape.
We masterfully strip hairdressing back to emphasizing hair beauty in a more harmonious, respectful, natural and holistic way, supporting our client’s daily home hair beauty routines.
I must say that this method has a high price tag. It’s 1500 USD to get an appointment with Rossano himself. However, for ladies who don’t have such a budget, they can also have appointments in their salons. The experienced hairdressers who are trained by Rossano do a wonderful job. Sometimes the budget is not the only problem, it’s very difficult to book an appointment with Rossano. He travels the world and visits all his luxury salons in five-star hotels all over the world. Every year he also makes a 3months long tour around his salons. That is also a reason why I consider myself lucky to have my hair cut by Maestro already 2 times.
My Experience with Rossano Ferretti.
Meeting Rossano has been a pleasure for me. I used to live in Milan and I love being around Italian people. Rossano is just the quintessence of Italian personality. Someone who enjoys life, travel, good food and values family. He has so many nice stories to share. I was mostly interested in him working with Gianni Versace that is my favourite designer. It’s nice to hear great feedback about him from someone that knew him personally. So that was a personal side of meeting Rossano. He is simply a very likeable person. Honestly, I don’t think that one can’t like him.
Regarding the haircut. He works so much different. First, he is meeting with a person in order to see the hair, the face, and movement. Even to asset the personality. He believes that hairstyle needs to match the person, also in terms of personality. Then he proposes what he thinks would be the best style and then performs the personalized haircut. Last year he proposed to me aside fringe. This year he did more layering and cutting hair at the deeper level. It’s hard to explain it, but this way my hair has more volume.

First I would like to show you my haircut in 2021. It’s more of a change for me. The main change was the fringe.
My haircut is in 2022. He worked more on adding volume to my thin hair.
Hair tips by Rossano Ferretti
While speaking with Rossano I asked him a lot about the hair and some tips that he gave me are:
- Choose the right hair care products.
- Take Minerals and vitamins.
- Invest in a great haircut and maintain it every 6, or 8 weeks.
- Flip your hair parting.
- Don’t use eatable oils before washing.
- Don’t use dry shampoo.
- Blow-dry upwards.
Summary
Rossano Ferretti is an iconic hairdresser. Women around the world dream about having haircuts by him. His celebrity clients list is extremely long and he still stays grounded and inspiring.
For me having experienced the invisible cut was something that I was excited about a lot. I am very happy with the changes that he proposed and I hope that he will be able to cut my hair once again. I also couldn’t recommend enough Carlos the hairdresser at the La Resérve hotel. He is so well-trained by Rossano, he can create the most amazing hairstyle and change the colour of the hair.
