Last week, I had the privilege of joining Genesis Europe on an unforgettable press trip to discover two of their most captivating models: the all-electric GV60 and the new electrified G80.
The journey took us first from Geneva to the vibrant city of Zurich, where we gathered at the beautiful Park Hyatt Hotel. After lunch, we drove all the way to the charming town of St. Gallen and the stylish Einstein Hotel. Along the way, we didn’t just test drive two extraordinary cars — we experienced the heart of the Genesis Europe philosophy: refined design, effortless innovation, and human-centred luxury.

Genesis Europe: A New Era of Modern Luxury.
Genesis has been redefining what modern luxury means across Europe — blending Korean craftsmanship, advanced technology, and timeless design. The trip perfectly reflected that spirit: every detail was curated to create a sense of calm sophistication and understated elegance.
From the first morning briefing at the Hyatt Zurich to our scenic drive through Switzerland’s rolling hills, every moment felt intentional — designed to embody the brand’s focus on harmony between driver, car, and environment.

The Genesis GV60: The Joy of Electric Driving
Our first experience was behind the wheel of the Genesis GV60, the brand’s first dedicated electric SUV. Sleek, sculptural, and instantly dynamic, it captured attention at every stop. I absolutely loved the new colour and light blue interiors, how comfortable the car is, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how I would like to have this car for my city drives. Also, I must add that I drove all the way from Geneva to Zurich with no charging stops, and I still had power for the next 180 km.

As we left Zurich, the GV60 glided effortlessly along the Swiss scenic route to St. Gallen. Quiet yet powerful, delivering a drive that felt both exciting and serene. Inside, the Crystal Sphere gear selector and eco-friendly materials reflected Genesis’s commitment to sustainable luxury.

Driving through the picturesque Swiss countryside, it was easy to forget we were in an electric vehicle — the performance, comfort, and balance made the GV60 one of the most compelling luxury electric cars in Europe today.

Hotel St. Gallen and Michelin Star Dinner at the Einstein Gourment.
Nestled in the heart of St. Gallen, the Einstein Hotel combines classic Swiss charm with contemporary sophistication. Just steps away from the UNESCO World Heritage Abbey District, this four-star hotel is known for its refined atmosphere, exceptional service, and tranquil spa facilities. With elegant rooms, gourmet dining, and a warm, understated luxury, the Einstein Hotel St. Gallen perfectly reflects the spirit of Swiss hospitality. I loved the interior design of the hotel, where you could see a strong influence of art, fashion, and interior design. I stayed in the Textile Junior Suite equipped by the renowned St. Gallen textile company Jakob Schlaepfer. In this suite, the walls were decorated with artful sequined pictures, a plaid of St. Gallen lace draped on the bed and the windows decorated with an unconventional curtain. I loved it. Later on, we had experienced the wine tasting at their award-winning cave, followed by a Michelin Star Dinner. Dinner prepared by Chef Sebastian Zier. It was a delightful experience, a mixture of tastes, textures and local ingredients. I can’t even say which course was my favourite, as each one was art itself.

The Genesis G80: Timeless Elegance on the Road from St. Gallen to Geneva.
In contrast to GV60, the Genesis G80 offered a refined, graceful driving experience as we continued toward Geneva the next day. This flagship sedan embodies the brand’s design identity — Athletic Elegance — blending power with poise. It’s like a CEO car, a limousine, but when I was driving it, it felt so comfortable that I forgot that I was driving such a long car. Also, the way it made turns was incredible; it makes it so easy to manoeuvre, park, and drive on serpentine roads. On that day, I drove through the whole of Switzerland, but I wasn’t even tired when I arrived home. On winding roads, the G80 felt composed and confident, while the interior offered a cocoon of quiet sophistication. With its quilted leather seats, intuitive digital displays, and spacious cabin, it created a perfect environment for a long scenic drive through Switzerland.

A Genesis Europe Press Trip Defined by Experience and Emotion.
Throughout the press journey, Genesis Europe showcased more than just beautiful cars — it presented a vision for the future of mobility built on innovation, design, and well-being.
From Geneva to St. Gallen, every detail of the experience — from the hotel stays to the curated drive routes — echoed the brand’s holistic view of luxury: it’s not just about how you drive, but how you feel while driving.

Final Thoughts: The Future Looks Bright for Genesis Europe
The Genesis GV60 and Genesis G80 stand as shining examples of how Genesis Europe is shaping the next chapter of premium mobility. Both cars offer exceptional craftsmanship, advanced technology, and a uniquely human touch, considering also female drivers, like myself.
This trip through Switzerland was more than a test drive — it was an invitation to experience a brand redefining what modern luxury truly means: elegant, emotional, and electric.

Thank you so much, Genesis Switzerland team, for this lovely invitation and Kristine Tsurtsumia and the company and beautiful photos.
