The 79th Cannes Film Festival is often associated with glamour, Hollywood stars, and iconic red carpet moments. While those elements undoubtedly define part of the experience, Cannes has evolved into something much bigger. Today, it is a global meeting point for the worlds of film, fashion, luxury, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and digital influence.

Having attended the festival since 2018, I have had the opportunity to witness not only its dazzling public face but also the dynamic ecosystem that exists behind the scenes. This year was no exception, so let’s see what the 79th Cannes Film Festival looked like from Bella’s perspective.

Cannes Film Festival is more than a film festival.
From the moment I arrived in Cannes, the city was buzzing with activity. Luxury brands hosted private events, entrepreneurs held networking lunches, and international media gathered to cover not only cinema but also innovation, beauty, and culture.

I stayed at the legendary Hotel Martinez, one of the festival’s most iconic addresses. Over morning coffee overlooking the Mediterranean, I would review my schedule, which often changed several times throughout the day. In Cannes, flexibility is essential. Invitations arrive at the last minute, opportunities emerge unexpectedly, and every conversation has the potential to lead to a new collaboration.

This is one of the reasons why Cannes remains so unique. It is a place where industries intersect and where meaningful professional relationships are built.
The Art of Preparation.
While red carpet photographs may appear effortless, every appearance begins long before the cameras start flashing.
One of my favourite aspects of Cannes is the preparation process itself. Visiting showrooms, selecting gowns, choosing jewellery, and working with designers is part of the experience. Each event requires a different approach and tells a different story.
This year, I visited a showroom curated by Polish fashion expert Bożena Janiszław, who helped me select several looks for the festival. These behind-the-scenes moments often go unnoticed, yet they are an essential part of what makes Cannes such a remarkable celebration of creativity.

Celebrating Women and International Success
One of the most rewarding aspects of attending Cannes is meeting accomplished women from around the world. Entrepreneurs, founders, artists, journalists, and creators gather here to exchange ideas and celebrate achievements.

I was particularly proud to see so many Polish women making their mark on the international stage. Their growing presence reflects a broader trend: women are increasingly building global businesses, leading innovative projects, and shaping conversations across industries.

Meaningful Moments Beyond Glamour
Among the many events I attended, the Better World Fund Gala was particularly memorable. The initiative brings together leaders from the worlds of entertainment, business, and philanthropy to support meaningful causes.

This year’s gala featured Sharon Stone, who received recognition for her humanitarian work. Her speech was one of the most moving moments of the week and served as a reminder that influence carries responsibility.

Another highlight was receiving an award from luxury brand Thalie Paris. The distinction, presented during the festival, recognised my commitment to supporting women and promoting sustainable initiatives. Receiving a sculpture created by renowned French artist Laurence Jenkell was both an honour and a deeply personal moment.

I also attended the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA), which gathered leading creators and digital entrepreneurs from around the globe. The event demonstrated how social media has evolved into a powerful business and communication tool capable of building communities, shaping trends, and driving meaningful conversations.

Walking the Red Carpet
This year, I had the opportunity to attend two film premieres and walk the famous red carpet at the Palais des Festivals.

Although I have experienced Cannes several times before, that moment never loses its excitement. Surrounded by filmmakers, actors, photographers, and international guests, one cannot help but appreciate the extraordinary scale and significance of the festival.
Yet, as impressive as the red carpet may be, it is not what stays with me most.
The Real Magic of Cannes
My favourite memories are often the simplest ones: conversations over dinner, sunset walks along La Croisette, spontaneous encounters, and the shared excitement of people pursuing ambitious goals.

After seven years of attending Cannes, I still occasionally find myself wondering whether this is all real. Perhaps that is the true magic of the festival. Not the flash of cameras or the prestige of invitations, but the people, ideas, and opportunities that continue to inspire long after the final premiere has ended.

Because while the red carpet may last only a few minutes, the relationships, experiences, and lessons gained in Cannes can shape an entire year.
