In a search of aesthetic, beauty and excitement.
It was 5th Geneva International Motor Show in a row that I visited. Each time I have a fabulous day at Palexpo…
I am looking at new models, sitting in my dream cars, speaking with designers or hostesses, sipping champagne at brand’s lounges and attending parties. 2 years ago I even organized a fashion show for one of the car brand and it was just fantastic.
As you can see I love Auto Salon, but I am not a car expert, I look at aesthetic and beauty, but I am also passionate about new technologies and sports cars. Please have a look at my 7 takeaways from 2019 Auto Salon and please let me know in the comment what do you think about my choices.
Ferrari F8 Tributo
1. Bugatti’s La Voiture Noire, the most expensive car in the world.
Bugatti cars are one of the first that you will see when you will enter the Auto Salon and it is an instant wow effect. Especially with this model, the La Voiuture Noir (The Black Car) that already has been sold to anonymous buyer for € 16.7 million (including tax)!!!
The car has a history behind. It is an interpretation of the Bugatti Type 57, designed by founder Ettore Bugatti’s son, Jean, in 1930s and 40s, but it also reminds us of another model, a Bugatti Chiron hypercar.
According to the president of Bugatti Stephan Winkelmann: “La Voiture Noire is a far more than a modern interpretation of Jean Bugatti’s Type 57 SC Atlantic. It is a feast of aesthetics.” It’s a carbon made coupé, sports car and a luxury limousine all in one, and the lines are just so perfectly beautiful. I am enchanted with its beauty. Do you also like it so much?

2. Koenigsegg Jesko, hyper-aggressive, race-track design.
Ever since I lived in Sweden in 2008/2009 I have developed lots of love to Swedish design, food and crime stories. So whenever I see connection with Sweden I am always interested, this happened with Koenigsegg Company last year at Geneva International Motor Show, when I first got to hear this name and hear the history behind the brand. It started 25 years ago when Christian von Koenigsegg launched his own car company in order to create the Supercar. This year in order to celebrate 25 years of brand’s activity, they created a breathtaking model Koenigsegg Jesko, and Christian named it after his father. It was a touching moment to father and a son while the Press Days at 2019 Geneva Motor Show, when Jesko von Koeningsegg found out that this ultimate mega-car will have his name and saw it for the first time.
3. Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, an open-air-racer.
It’s a simple, but classy proposition from Lamborghini. SVJ coupé, but without a roof. There is only 800 #cars like that produced and they will cost around £323,323, so hurry up! 😉 This Lambo is currently the fastest production car around the Nurburgring race truck. It’s light, powerful and beautiful, especially in this gold color.

4. Maserati Concept Car from 2002 by Touring Superleggera.
Touring Superleggera presented the most impressive Sciadipersia Cabriolet. I could literally drive away in this car and never think of any other models. This model is a concept from 2002, but its shape is just timeless. I am absolutely in love with light pink interior and combination with dark blue, glossy exterior. When I look at this car I can just imagine myself driving around Como lake. Do you also love it?

5. Mansory Star Trooper Is A Philipp Plein-Designed G-Class.
This car definitely sets new standards when it comes to luxury and design. I was very curious about Philipp Plein’s collaboration with #Mansory, the biggest, luxury cars modification company and their Star Trooper, Mercedes- AMG G63. This car will be only produced in 20 units, it takes 6 weeks to build it and the asking price is $655,000. Some technical info: this car will only take 3,5 seconds to 100 km/h. This model is completely modified, military-style wrap, carbon fiber elements, PP custom interior and his logos all over the car really make an impression.
Designer also thought about us, ladies and said: “We’ve built a little step into the car for ladies. If your girlfriend wants to drive it than it should really be easy for them to get into.” Thank you Philipp for thinking of us too 🙂

6. Lagonda All-Terrain Concept: Aston Martin electric SUV.
At last Auto Salon in Geneva Aston Martin for the first time presented Lagonda concept and this year he returned with a new version or this all-terrain’s design. This all-electric beauty presents: EV powertrains bring, stunning interior and unconventional exterior. Rear-hinged doors are becoming a bit of Lagonda theme.
I like what president of the group and the CEO Andy Palmer said about GIMS: ‘Historically Geneva has always been good for us – the buzz surrounding the stand last year when we revealed the Lagonda Vision Concept was truly remarkable – so it’s fantastic to return to the scene of such great success with another world debut.’
I can’t wait to see the next generation of Lagonda in 2020.

7. Last but not Least Lexus RC F Track Edition.
I really liked the way Lexus presented this model, the colors and design really caught my eye.
This is a truck edition of regular RC F. To mention some of changes: this model is 70-80 kg lighter, a chin spoiler is made from composite and it’s been designed to channel airflow to boost cooling and front-end grip. The bonnet and roof are made of carbonfibre-reinforced plastic and breaks are upgraded to Brembo ceramic discs.
I love the amazing atmosphere at Lexus stand and their hospitality. Thank you Lexus for always remembering about us.
